Getting There

Santiago is served by Antonio Maceo Airport. Cubana de Aviación connects the city with Havana, Montréal, Madrid and Paris-Orly, other airlines connect the city with the rest of the Caribbean and North America.

 

Local transportation alternatives within the Cuban island are the comfortable and air-conditioned Viazul autobuses.

 

Local flights are available through domestic airline companies including Cubana, Aero Caribbean, or for certain routes through foreign flight companies like Air France (possibly also by KLM, and/or Iberia.

 

WHEN IN SANTIAGO,walking & taxi is mostly easily available and a convenient way for moving around in the city.

• 1-day visit to the camps of Ché Guevara, and local museums in Sierra Maestra. Tropical journey with stop for rest and bathing in jungle river. Arranged on two occasions, on XX and XX of July

 

 

• Visit / participation in Tumba Francesa, a la Conga. Cuban dance and music performance.

 

• Visit to CityTown Hall for sight-seeing/presentation of historic & present Santiago.

 

• Excursion to El Cobre, to Sanctuary of “Our Lady of Charity.

 

 

The Cuban national holiday is on July 26th, and the Santiago de Cuba Carnival goes on 22-28 of July.
